Beaches – Punta Prima

Beach Info:

Punta Prima beach with its 120 metres of fine white sands stretches along the far eastern coast of the island.

Punta Prima achieved the name of “sandy bay” during the British occupation and is one of the most visited beaches in the area.

Once a fishing village we can still find fishermen’s huts where they stored their fishing apparatus along the shore.

Punta Prima has an ideal beach for children, as its waters are quite shallow and is fairly well protected from the wave currents thanks to the location of the Aire Island off of the coast.

The town has food and drink to suit all pockets and tastes.
A pharmacy, gift shops, supermarkets, clothing, beach products can all be found locally.
