Holiday In Calan Porter
One of the largest and oldest resorts on the island, Calan Porter has a beautiful beach, protected by large, surrounding cliffs.
On one side of the resort, the limestone cliffs are home to seabirds, while on the other, villas are scattered across the hillside.
Down at beach level, you’ll find a further selection of bars and restaurants that are always popular with visitors.
Beach Access
Good even access, roadside parking plus a large free car park on Plaja de Cala en Porter.
Two dedicated disabled parking spaces.
To get to the beach area from the town there are steps, the number is disputed as there always seem to be more going up!

Bus stop on the cliff top on Passieg Maritim
(Route 31 TMSA) Mahon – Cala en Porter
(Route 33 TMSA) Cala en Porter to Alaior
Taxi There is a rank in the town square.
Beach In General:
A gently sloping sandy beach making it ideal for kids, beach facilities on the main sands include sunbed and shade hire and plenty of waste bins.
Lifeguards & First Aid:
Lifeguard and there is also a Red Cross first aid service.
There is a beach ‘Flag System’ in place, always abide by the flag:
RED Dangerous, do not swim.
YELLOW Caution of currents, swimming allowed.
GREEN Swimming allowed.
ORANGE No lifeguard.
Toilets & Showers:
There are toilets and showers available
Watersports / Activities:
Canoes, Kayaks, Pedelos & Day Boat hire.
